Cause, Goku actually survived, and this already makes it impossible since Super Buu would murder Goku.

But I still think he's definitely enough to take Goku out without much trouble at all. When Janemba stopped fooling around and allowing himself to be hit, he did the owning. Goku couldn't do ***. I can't think of any other example in the anime that would indicate anything other than powering up when an aura is flared, especially not for a character that previously had no aura to speak of, and especially not for one that eventually proved to the viewer that he had, in fact, been suppressed all along. Nobody let himself get hit that easily at least when it isn´t proven that you have regeneration, heck even Janempa showed some how defensive skills, you can´t tell me that a slicker one can´t have them.

The quote Goku said about Majin Buu, reffering to Fat Buu, means that he definitely is as strong as Fat Buu. But given the fight between Goku and Janemba we know that Janemba is much stronger. We also know that Super Buu would rape Goku SSJ3. So Janemba is between Fat Buu and Super Buu. Ultimately making Gotenks stronger
